Thank you to all those that have supported the Railsplitter Auto Club throughout the years!  Not only the tangelable donations, but for those that have made the monthly cruise-ins happen!  From the President to those that help take down the tent & tables, it wouldn't be possible without each of you!  You know who each of you are, but a HUGE and HEARTFELT thanks go out to each of you! 

Annual Christmas Party

There will not be a meeting in December, but a Christmas Party instead.  There is a $15 limit for the gift exchange.  Men buy for men, and women buy for women.  There will be a great meal and even more wonderful company, so we hope to see our members!

Tom Rock

It is with sadness in our hearts that we tell you Tom Rock passed away on Saturday, April 18.  His visitation was held on Tuesday, April 21.  His funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 22 at 10am if you would like to drive your antique auto.

The Courier's 2nd Annual 'Spring Car Care & Show Off Your Car' Guide

The Courier is again this year having a special guide in the paper featuring antique, classic, restored, and rare cars, trucks, and motorcycles.


Show off your pride and joy, and tell the story about your ride.  Submission is free but the deadline is APRIL 23, 2013!!                              Submissions must include: a picture and story (50-65 words) about your ride, your name and where you're from.  You can submit your entry(ies) via mail (Dan Lawrence, Lincoln Courier, 2201 Woodlawn Road, Lincoln IL 62656), email ([email protected] or [email protected]), or deliver it directly to The Courier.  If you mail or deliver the submission to The Courier and wish to have your photo returned, please provide a self-addressed stamped envelope.

3 prizes will be awarded.  The Grand Prize is 'The Royal Treatment' package worth over $400 from Jim Xamis.  The package includes oil filter & lube, 27 point inspection, air conditioner inspection, tire rotation and air replaced with Nitrogen for tires, wash, wax, and vacuum.  2nd and 3rd prizes are soon to be announced.


Examples of the stories submitted for the 2012 Guide include those if Jim Loeffller. "I purchadsed the car in 2000 for a birthday present to myself.  It's the best present I have ever gotten." This included a photo of his 1962 For Thunderbird.  He also entered his 1927 Ford Roadster pickup. Saying,"I just recently purchased the truck in February.  I plan to enjoy driving it al summer before doing anything to it this winter." 


With your submission include that you are a member of the Lincoln Railsplitter Antique Auto Club.  If we receive 20 submissions the cub can receive some free advertisement.

Hello Everybody! 2012 is coming to a close and 2013 will soon be upon us. Soon the Robins will be back and signing their songs, the grass will turning green, and the cruise-ins will be in full swing.
